Documentaries "Inside Hana's Suitcase" and "Yoo Hoo Mrs. Goldberg," the Israeli drama "For My Father" and Australian claymation "Mary and Max" are among the highlights of the 2010 Jewish Film Festival (JFF).
The JFF runs from Sunday, June 13 to Thursday, June 17, at Landmark's Plaza Frontenac Cinema, with 16 films - nine narrative features and seven documentaries - from countries around the world.

Last month while finishing a list of my 1,000 favorite films for a forthcoming collection, I was shocked to discover I'd forgotten to include Alain Resnais' Night and Fog. If I'd been working on the list a few days later, when I attended a press show of the soon to be rereleased The Battle of Algiers (1965), which I hadn't seen in decades, I probably would have included that as well.
In my 20s I thought the film was important for its radicalism; today I find it impressive for its evenhandedness.

Other movies will be released between now and next year, we guess, but the only one that really raises our Thetan levels is Paul Thomas Anderson's as-yet-untitled, Philip Seymour Hoffman–starring Scientology movie .
As such, we are duty bound to inform you that, according to Production Weekly (via the Playlist ), Amanda Seyfried, Emma Stone, and True Blood 's Deborah Ann Woll are all being considered for the role of Elizabeth, the daughter of Hoffman's cult-leading character in the film.

LIKE many actors, Ewen Leslie is unassuming off stage, perhaps even a little shy.
He certainly bears no resemblance to the blood-stained, unsettlingly charismatic monster he summons for eight exhausting performances a week on the Melbourne Theatre Company stage.
He is at present playing the title role in Richard III in a production by MTC's artistic director Simon Phillips that has gained almost unanimously ecstatic reviews.
